Simply put, we are a Specialty Distributor. We are North America’s largest event cinema distributor and distribute special engagements that play in theatres for 5+ days. We bring a wide variety of live and pre-recorded content to the big screen and at scale. We’ve got something for everyone:

We even broadcast live Q&A’s with featured stars, directors, and producers, all through our network of over 2000 screens nationwide. We call it the “DBN” – our very own Digital Broadcast Network, and it’s magic!

We started in 2002 as a test in a few theatres, and quickly became a popular alternative for on-screen entertainment. We’re owned by the three largest U.S. theatre chains – AMC, Cinemark, and Regal – and we’re ranked as the 9th largest U.S. movie distributor in the nation.

Our content plays on the big screen for a night or two and sometimes for a week or more, but some unique added value always accompanies our content. Think concerts, boxing matches, panel discussions, and cast Q&A sessions broadcast live across the country in real-time. Some releases even include a sneak peek into backstage access, talent intros, and behind-the-scenes bonus footage. We’re also known for bringing live talent for meet and greets and red carpets.

We bring a variety of content to the big screen. Some releases play once, while others, such as The Metropolitan Opera, Fright Fest, and Fathom’s Big Screen Classics, are a collection of titles that play throughout the year and share commonalities.

Seeing a Fathom release is a terrific way to experience live shows and special engagements close to home without paying for expensive seats or enduring big crowds. Plus, you’ll have easy access to delicious concessions, a high-definition picture, and dynamic sound. No inconvenient parking, plane tickets, or hotel stays are required.

Unfortunately, not every theatre is a part of the Fathom Network. And in some cases theatres don’t have the technology required to show certain releases. The best way to bring our event to a non-Fathom theatre is to let the theatre manager know what you’d like to see so they may reach out to us to join the Fathom Network.

Unfortunately, not all theatres show our events. In addition, for some releases, online ticketing may not be set up yet. Lastly, not every cinema within Fathom’s theatre network has the technology required to show all of our events. We suggest checking back often as we’re always adding locations.

Easy-peasy. Check out showtimes and easily grab your tickets in advance at fathomevents.com. You can also visit your local cinema’s website or box office.

Once you purchase your tickets online (via website or app), you can either print out the email confirmation, or show your confirmation page right from your smartphone at the theatre.

While we distribute releases to theatres, we don’t sell tickets to our releases. All tickets are sold by the theatre (via box, office, website or app) or by a ticketing aggregator like Fandango or Atom Tickets. Please reach out to them directly so they may assist you with your concerns.

If there is not a “Get Tickets” button on the release page then the release is not on sale yet. Once tickets go on sale, the website will be updated. Keep checking back!

Fathom does not sell tickets to its releases thus is cannot offer group discounts. Please check out our Group Sales page to connect directly with your favorite theatre to see what is possible.

Fathom Entertainment does not manage or engage in any ticketing transactions. Please reach out to the ticketing partner or theatre from where you purchased your ticket to learn about their refund and exchange policies.

Fathom Entertainment offers unique, cinematic experiences often paired with never-before-seen content that does warrant different pricing than a regular movie. Fathom works with the participating theatre circuits to recommend the best value for your entertainment dollar. Prices vary across theatre circuits and locations.
