Isabella shared her thoughts on homelessness and the impact of the film, stating: “Communication was really important with these individuals because they’re people, they’re human, and sometimes people forget that. I feel like there aren’t a lot of films that handle this topic, and it’s especially important to me because I grew up surrounded by homelessness.”

“We need to raise awareness that every person, no matter their economic status, has human rights. We must foster humanity and help those in need. The infrastructure for mental health and substance abuse treatment must be accessible. Lawmakers must support affordable healthcare. A three-prong approach including mental healthcare, general healthcare, and job rehabilitation must be provided.”

Lucas shared what this film meant to him, stating: “And what it really means to me, I should say. What makes it so important to me that this movie is being made is that people who might not have any ability to relate to this issue might be able to sit down, watch this movie, and leave the theater with a different perspective of the person begging on the sidewalk…”

William shared his thoughts on the film and the takeaway he had, stating: “The arc of my character takes the audience on this journey where they say, ‘This could happen to anybody. It could be me next.’ And I think it’s an important part of the story for someone to say, ‘Look what’s happened to Robert, because if it could happen to Robert, it could happen to anybody.’”

Beverly shared her journey in preparing for her role, stating: “In preparing for the role by speaking directly to the people on our streets… I came to believe very strongly that the core issue among the homeless is that of mental health. Whether this is organic or situationally induced, it is the single consistent commonality. So, I fought hard to deepen the character description of a Hollywood actress who fell on hard times when she couldn’t remember her lines to a more fully embodied character who is the victim of untreated mental illness.”

Xander was driven by a longstanding desire to help and spoke about his inspiration for joining the film: “I was inspired to be a part of this film because for so long I have wanted to find a way to help. I lived in Los Angeles for many years and felt compelled to bring food to people I saw who looked hungry and alone. Just by sitting and spending a little time talking and mostly listening, you could see how much people everywhere just need to be heard and felt and cared about.”

Ashanti was deeply moved by the film’s script and its portrayal of such a significant issue, stating: “I was truly moved. I love that the script was able to portray so many different sides of the spectrum of this heartbreaking, massive problem we have. I immediately wanted to be a part of this important work. The characters and the real-life work the producers and team are doing will make this a monumental and impactful film. I love being able to give back, bring awareness, and help our communities however I can.”
